FRANKLIN, Tenn. – 4/27/26 – Manchester Tank & Equipment Company today announced it will transition to Rotarex digital gauges on all 420-pound and horizontal propane tanks beginning this summer. The adoption of this digital-ready standard is intended to improve consistency in tank-level visibility and aligns with where the industry is headed: smarter, more proactive operations.

According to Manchester Tank President Jordan de Lima, “For decades, the industry has acknowledged the limitations of traditional mechanical gauges but never fully addressed them. By rethinking tank‑level visibility from the ground up, we are eliminating a major point of failure and ushering tank manufacturing into the modern era with greater accuracy, reliability and confidence throughout the tank’s lifecycle.”

Customers should note the change will not impact flexibility. Manchester Tank will continue to provide the tank and gauge hardware, and customers will choose the telemetry and monitoring solutions that best fit their needs.

As the company celebrates 80 years of quality tank manufacturing, de Lima sees this as an important step in the continued evolution of its business.

“Throughout our history, Manchester Tank has been driven by innovation – continually improving how tanks are built, used and supported in the field. We are energized by what this next chapter brings and look forward to sharing more about this transition and its benefits,” he added.
