New appointment demonstrates Zinwave’s desire to be a global leader in Distributed Network Solutions.
Zinwave, a global provider of wideband distributed network solutions for in-building wireless and IP coverage, announced today the appointment of Scott Willis as CEO in a bid to drive the company’s next wave of growth in a buoyant wireless market. This appointment swiftly follows an active recruitment program to strengthen Zinwave’s commercial and technical teams globally and the opening of larger premises in San Jose to support its growing customer base in Silicon Valley as well as the rest of North America.
Willis comes to Zinwave as a recognized telecommunications leader and has over 30 years’ executive-level experience with leading technology firms and network operators including Ericsson, Nokia, BellSouth and Sprint. He is a proven global leader with a demonstrated track record in building successful businesses. Scott brings the right balance of leadership, operational and technical expertise, and enthusiasm for building customer relationships to elevate Zinwave to be a global leader in its industry.
Previously, Willis was Executive Vice President, Chief Sales and Marketing Executive for Goodman Networks, a privately held leader in the design, engineering, deployment, and integration of wireless communications networks. Prior to Goodman, he was Executive Vice President and General Manager at Ericsson. Willis has also held senior positions at Nokia, BellSouth, Sprint, as well as KeyBridge, a smaller global corporation in the communications field.
“With its unique wideband distributed antenna system based on advanced photonics and wideband amplification technology developed by world-class researchers, Zinwave is a strong technology leader and innovator in the DAS space,” said Willis. “I look forward to translating that leadership into broader market success.”
Zinwave’s wideband DAS supports any combination of wireless and IP services between 150MHz-2700MHz on a one layer infrastructure, regardless of protocol or modulation scheme. It is also the only system to support multiple FDD and TDD LTE services simultaneously across any spectrum allocated globally.
Zinwave’s UNItivity platform is the only truly future-proof, universal wireless access solution on the market. UNItivity’s unique wideband architecture breaks the cycle of endless DAS upgrades because it supports any frequency from 150 MHz to 2700 MHz, accommodating current and future wireless services without hardware upgrades. In addition, UNItivity’s streamlined, all-fiber architecture makes it more reliable and much easier to install than traditional DAS solutions. Zinwave has a global customer base and is a subsidiary of McWane Inc. (www.mcwane.com), a privately held US manufacturing company and owners of a global group of wireless technology companies.
