Larry Whitehead
President


Larry Whitehead was named president of Manchester Tank in June 2008. Mr. Whitehead brings over forty years experience leading companies through start-up, survival, turnaround, and growth. In addition to his distinguished management career, Mr. Whitehead successfully owned and operated two steel-related businesses.

Mr. Whitehead graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1969 where he achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. In addition, his education includes multiple postgraduate courses at The University of Virginia and Samford University.

Harrison Whitehead, CPA
Vice President, Finance


Harrison Whitehead has served as Vice President, Finance for Manchester Tank since 2005. Since joining the company as Corporate Controller in 1999, Mr. Whitehead has worked in corporate accounting and finance, including the areas of financial and tax reporting, credit, information systems, business analysis, and risk management. His previous experience includes eight years with a major integrated aluminum products company and ten years in public accounting.

Mr. Whitehead is a 1981 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and he earned his CPA certificate in 1982. His education also includes postgraduate coursework in the MBA program at Belmont University.

Danny M. Clymer
Vice President, Supply Chain Management/International


Danny M. Clymer joined Manchester Tank in 1999 as Director of Engineering. He currently serves as Vice President of Supply Chain Management for the company's United States and Australia operations. Mr. Clymer brings 10 years of experience in the tank and cylinder industry in the areas of operations, engineering, and supply chain management.

Mr. Clymer graduated from the University of Memphis, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Currently serving as a member of the Pressure Vessel Manufacturers Association (PVMA), Mr. Clymer actively pursues regulations that will allow more efficient processes within Manchester Tank.

Tom Freeland
Vice President, Quality Engineering and Research & Development


Tom Freeland joined Manchester Tank in 1975 as a consultant, and currently serves as Vice President of Engineering and R & D. Mr. Freeland supports our executive team with over 40 years of experience in the cylinder, tank, valve, and regulator industry in the areas of management, manufacturing operations, engineering, safety, and quality control.

Mr. Freeland attended Augusta College, pursuing a business degree, and continued his education at the University of Georgia and Southern Tech. Mr. Freeland represents and promotes Manchester Tank as a member of the NLPGA TS&S Committee, the UL TAG Team, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the International Approval Services (IAS), and the Compressed Gas Association (CGA).

Mike Higdon
Vice President, U.S. Manufacturing Operations


Mike Higdon was appointed Vice President of Manufacturing Operations in 2008. Mr. Higdon brings 35 years of experience to our team in various professional and senior management capacities. Currently, he oversees all aspects of the U.S. manufacturing operations and new product development.

Mr. Higdon's collegiate experience began with his participation in a cooperative exchange program at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, UK. He returned to the U.S. to continue his education at Mississippi State University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
